East Austin

East of I-35 is where Austin eats and drinks now. East 6th, Cesar Chavez and Manor Road run on bars, food trucks, taquerias and restaurants that need a reservation, and most of our homes here are a short walk from at least one of those streets.

The neighborhoods themselves are quieter than that sounds. Bungalows, big pecans, murals on the side of corner stores. You walk out for tacos in the morning and hear the street at night only if you go looking for it.

Downtown and Rainey Street are a few minutes away, and so is the airport. If the trip is about going out, this is the area to be in.
