Guest Haus Property Management LLC (“Guest Haus”, “we”, “us”) operates stays.guesthausrentals.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site or book a stay, why, and what we do with it.
This policy covers this site only. Our owner-facing site at guesthausrentals.com has its own policy.
What we collect
When you book. Your first and last name, email address, phone number, country, the dates and home you are booking, the number of guests, and anything you write in the “anything we should know” field.
When you write to us. Your name, email address and message.
When you join our email list. Your email address.
Payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe through our booking system, Guesty. We never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card.
Before your stay. We send a guest app link with a check-in form. That form includes identity verification, which is collected and held by Guesty, our booking system. We receive confirmation that you verified. We do not receive or store your identity document.
Automatically. Your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the site or search that sent you here.

The services we use
Guesty is our booking and property management system. It holds your reservation, your contact details, your messages with us, and your identity verification.
Guesty Shield provides the damage protection included with every booking.
Stripe processes card payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are governed by their privacy policy.
Google Tag Manager loads the measurement tools below.
Google Analytics measures how people find and use the site.
Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn tracking, so we know which advertising produces bookings.
When you book, we also share your email address with Google in hashed form, a one-way code that can’t be read or turned back into the address, so we can see which ads lead to bookings.
Mapbox renders the maps on our listing and search pages.
Cloudflare hosts this site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and performance.
Resend delivers email sent from our forms.
Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy.
Why we collect it
To take and run your booking. Confirm the reservation, take payment, send your confirmation, guest app link and check-in instructions, and answer you during your stay.
To answer you. If you write to us, we use what you sent to reply.
To send you email you asked for. If you joined our list, we send new homes, things happening in Austin, and occasional discounts. You can leave at any time using the link in any of those emails.
To operate and secure the site.
To understand what is useful, through analytics.
To measure advertising.
We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
The service providers above, so they can do the things described.
The owner of the home you book. Owners can see the name of the guest staying in their property, along with the dates. They do not receive your contact details, your messages with us, or your identity verification.
Anyone we are legally required to share it with, including tax authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for as long as we might reasonably need them. Analytics data follows Google’s default retention settings.
Your choices
Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Booking and stay emails are not marketing and will still be sent while you have a reservation.
Cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete them. Parts of the site may stop working properly.
Analytics. Google’s opt-out add-on is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout (opens in a new tab).
Advertising. Adjust personalization at adssettings.google.com (opens in a new tab), and in your Meta and LinkedIn settings.
Your data. Write to stays@guesthausrentals.com and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Bookings may only be made by people aged 21 or over.
Texas residents
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas residents the right to know what personal data a business holds about them, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a copy, and to opt out of its sale or its use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email stays@guesthausrentals.com.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
