The space

Walk in and “Ciao Bella” greets you from across the vaulted wall – bold, playful, and completely intentional. The Mount Vernon Loft is bright, self-contained, and designed with the same editorial eye as the estate it sits above.

The Living Area
Floor-to-ceiling windows dressed in blush linen curtains flood the space with natural light. A charcoal sofa bed, two green chenille armchairs, flat screen TV, dining nook, and a kitchenette with mini fridge, Nespresso Vertuo machine, and complimentary pods make the space fully self-contained.

The Bedroom
Calm and considered – a forest green channel-tufted velvet headboard, warm lighting, and a walk-in closet. Bedding for the sofa bed is stored here.

The Bathroom
Walk-in glass shower with designer geometric tile and matte black hardware throughout.

Guest access

When you book the loft, you have full and private access to the loft suite.

Please note that the main house, game room below, and all outdoor spaces – including the pool, hot tub, fire pit, putting green, and outdoor cinema – are NOT included and are occupied by other guests.

🚂 Please note that a train passes directly behind the property and can be heard from the house. We provide earplugs at the property for your comfort.

The game room used by other guests is located directly below the loft. When occupied by other guests, there may be some noise audible from the loft.

Mount Vernon Loft is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood. We have a zero-tolerance policy for parties, loud gatherings, or disturbances. Please be mindful of noise throughout the day – after 10 PM, no sound should carry beyond the property line in accordance with City of Austin regulations.

House rules

1. CHECK IN /CHECK OUT – Check in time is 4:00 PM. Check out time is 11:00 AM. Unless otherwise authorized by the Host.

2. PARTIES AND EVENTS – We do not allow parties, loud gatherings or events of any sort to be held in the property. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we do not want any issues with our neighbors or the city. Any reports or evidence of a party or organized event taking place will lead to an immediate vacation of the property, without reimbursement.

3. NOISE – Please keep the noise level down throughout the day, but especially after 10 p.m. in accordance with the city bylaws and to not disturb the neighbors.

4. BROKEN ITEMS – Please inform the Host of any damages or broken items noticed upon your arrival. Furthermore, accidents happen and if something breaks during your stay, please inform us, in order for us to replace or repair it prior to a following Guest’s stay.

5. NEIGHBORS – Guests must notify the Host of any complaints from neighbors as soon as possible.

6. PETS – We do not allow pets or animals of any sort. Any evidence of pets or animals will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $500.

7. SMOKING – Smoking is not permitted inside the property, or outside while still in the premises of the property. Any evidence of smoking on the property premises will incur an additional cleaning fee of $1,000.

8. VISITORS – Guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors must comply with the House Rules, and Guests will be held liable for any violation as if the violation was carried out by the Guests.

9. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING – Guests are to dispose of garbage and recycling into the allocated bins. Excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas.

10. SECURITY – Guests must ensure that all doors, windows and gates are properly locked every time they leave the property, and at the end of their stay. Failure to maintain the security of the property (locking doors and windows) will result in a $200 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages/theft that occur during their stay.

11. FIREWORKS – The use of fireworks anywhere on the property premises is strictly forbidden, subject to a a $500 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

12. PARKING – Parking is limited to 1 vehicle in the driveway. Free street parking is also available.

13. REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS – Every attempt is made to maintain the property in the best of condition. The Host does not guarantee that appropriate repair and or replacement will be performed during the Guests’ stay. It is the Guests’ responsibility to immediately notify the Host of any issues with the property during their stay so that repairs and or replacement may be promptly taken care of to the best of the Host’s ability.

The Host is not responsible for any occurrences to which we have no immediate control. These inconveniences include but are not limited to: weather conditions, power outages, road conditions or breakage of non-essential appliances (including, but not limited to: dishwasher, grill, pool heater, washer and dryer)

*Please inform us if any of the equipment in the house is not operating correctly. We will make every reasonable effort to make repairs as quickly as possible.

14. TOILET – Do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. This can cause plumbing issues and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.
